I attended the San Diego Writer’s Conference 2009. This year, due to being part of the millions tied up in economic struggle, I attended the conference in spirit with CDs of some of the exciting presentations. I especially love that the editor of Baen attends this conference to discuss the fantasy publishing industry.

November was the original National Blog Writing Month that started NaBloPoMo and acted as a parody to the National Book Writing Month. My video game blog, Johannah the Smite Priest, participated in NaBloPoMo this month.

It’s also participating in IComLeavWe, which is International Comment Leaving Week. I came across IComLeavWe due to its partnership with NaBloPoMo and I imagine they’re some kind offspring of each other.

The last week of September is Banned Books Week. To celebrate, I wrote about AND TANGO MAKES THREE, a beautiful picture book that is unfortunately on the top of the lists of banned children’s books. And I’m glad I’m not the only one in support of this book!
