2012 Site Update, Part Two

It looks like I sufficiently jacked up unordered lists. Time to find another WordPress template! :D

So beyond fixing the actual layout of the site, here’s some goals for the week…

  • Collapse the Reviews into one section
  • Create a section for the Seven Worlds, then…
    • Use the first world – or the real world – to store photography
    • Shove the iPad Project into the third world, where it belongs
    • Create a sub-section for my manuscript, the seventh world
    • Create another sub-section for my pending D&D game, the sixth world
  • Find a better way to link the other blog projects

Doesn’t seem too bad, but it’s probably thousands-upon-thousands of words I’m signing up for. I also need to update our New Zealand blog with photographs! It’s been two months.

Update: Up wa~ay later than I should be, considering I have to be at my desk in 7 hours… But the new template’s live, the categories are re-ordered, and the php files are even tweaked for ease of reading. :) As a sidenote, I never realized how many templates are so un-emoticon-friendly.

Salutations!: Site Update for 2012

Every year or so, I give this site a total overhaul. While the contents remain the same – games, my crazy writing goals, more games, some freakish subdomain, DID I MENTION MOAR GAMES – I try to redeck the halls, like some cyberpunk spring cleaning. And every time, I tell myself, “This is the last overhaul.”

It has nothing to do with my audience, and everything to do with Short Attention Span vs. Perfectionism. [ROUND THREE - fight!]

Anyways, since 2012′s the supposed end of the world, I went bewbs-to-the-wall and bought another domain. Only going to live through Armageddon once, right? (Nevermind that Y2K scare.) So as the proud owner of www.ohhaibai.com, I welcome you to my newly fashioned Internet space! :D

This year’s going to be a blogtastic one. With my two New Year’s resolutions of:

I am quite certain my blogs will be lively. And when my blogs are chock-full of awesome, the remaining 1,000-word-quotas will spill into my manuscript and iPad project. It’ll work fantastic. Nothin’ like a good ol’ “You wantsa more dumbbell!?” to whip my inner child into shape (God, she’s a creative yet oh-so-unreliable bum), and I’m sure I could use all this spankin’ new web content the fear will generate.

And you’ll like reading it, yeah?

I’ve even got a starting point. In the spirit of my recent Victoria’s Secret rendezvous – where I could find no commendable reviews to back up my mystery $20-for-an-$80 dress purchase – I’ve decided to convert this site to a gamer girl’s review blog. The doors are open to my 1,000-words-a-day desires, to review any and everything I can!

That means that review about that dress? Oh yeah. It’ll end up in the public Interverse, under some smile-worthy Reviews: Girl Stuff category.

In the interim, I’ve re-categorized all my old blog posts. Which means I have more MtG, video game, D&D, and board game reviews to do. Oh, for shame, to have to invest in these hobbies…

As always, thanks for visiting my site!
