in a half hour, i turn 36

World globus with green medical mask on it

when i turn 36, i don’t expect much to naturally change, but birthdays are great anchor points for choosing manmade change, so i’ll set the goal to write 1-3 sentences here 4 or 5 days a week, and then i’ll read the 157-471 sentences when i turn 37 years old in 2022 (the last year i’ll be alive when 3 out of 4 of the digits are the same) (like 1999 and 2000)

when the pandemic started, i committed to pouring resin daily, and i kept up with that goal on more months than not, so i have faith i can finish year-long creative milestones, as long as they’re practice-based, rather than monetary- or project-based

practice makes a better version of imperfect
